Anorexia is when a person is obsessed about losing weight and dieting. They could be extremely thin but are still conscious about their figure. Anorexic people will undergo starvation diets, strenuous exercises and take unnecessary diet pills/laxatives.

It is estimated that 4% of the world have anorexia and the truth is most people deny having it. The underlying reason of having anorexia is the person wants to maintain their current figure or lose weight fast. People need to realise that they do not need to starve themselves to reach their goal, it’s just simply eating the right special foods. The problem is there is too much rubbish on the internet and its difficult to find a decent diet that actually works. Pressures To Be Thin

Models are put under huge pressures to have a thin figure. Inga Radziejewsi (anorexic model) weighed 98 pounds and was size 00 and stilled was turned down jobs for being overweight. When she modelled for Christian Dior she reportedly struggled to fit into outfits when her waist size was only 21 inches. Looking back at her experiences Inga has admitted to national newspapers that she was horrified by her lifestyle.

She later took time out to fight her anorexic disease and now is a comfortable with her size 12 figure. She still models and now is more secure about her body, and no longer goes through starvation methods. She follows diets which are proven to work. Inga does receive criticism by some people in the fashion industry for being size 12, but the truth is health always overcomes a job.
